TDP-2-2000 to process industrial waste from Gazprom Neft’s ‘Messoyakha’ operation started
Section: NewsIn early July, a Thermal Destruction Unit TDP-2-2000 was launched at the Messoyakhaneftegaz (Gazprom Neft) landfill site. The landfill receives waste from the Zapadno-Messoyakhskoye and Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye oil fields. The function of the TDP is to recycle oil containing waste (boring sludge, oil contaminated soil, oil sludge) using the pyrolysis method. The equipment is capable of functioning in the Arctic region with its extremely low temperatures and permafrost, which involves dedicated solutions: the unit is built on a pile foundation, TDP loading and unloading units are located outside the building, and the recycling process can be run in full automatic mode — in absence of the staff if necessary. Waste disposal directly at the oil fields eliminates the very probable environmental risks due to contamination during waste transportation.
